Tim Diggles

Tim Diggles lives in Tunstall, Stoke-on-Trent, UK. Tim says:

“Currently I have three ongoing photographic projects alongside trying to complete two novels, some short stories and poetry. As well as attending Renegade Writers (not as much as I would like!), I am a member of the Photographers Collective North Staffordshire. I feel it is invaluable to be an active participant in organisations of other artists/writers.

I completed a BA(Hons) in Fine Art at Cardiff College of Art in 1976. I also have a Post Graduate Art Teachers Certificate.

Since the mid 1970s I have worked across the arts.

After working independently in South Wales, I worked for Blackfriars Arts Centre in Boston, Lincs., facilitating theatre companies in often remote villages in the Fens, as well as organising and running the exhibitions and education programmes. I then worked for Stoke & Newcastle Arts Project, and when the Poll Capping dealt a final blow to that, I became Co-ordinator for The Federation of Worker Writers and Community Publishers for 18 years, which included organising writing weekends; bringing groups together nationally and internationally; fund-raising; working with organisations on their business and strategic planning; putting together their magazine and some publications; representing the FWWCP on national and local committees and at events.

I am now ‘time rich’ (otherwise known as not working) partly due to various health issues. The plus side is that it has given me time to work intensively on my own creative work. I still offer support to organisations with advice on strategic and business planning, constitutional and artistic structures.

To read/see some of my work, including poems, a novel and photographs, visit my website. I always appreciate getting feedback on what I do.”
