Deborah McAndrew

Renegade Writers Group is thrilled to announce that our guest speaker on 21st June is Deborah McAndrew. Debbie is a playwright, writing and adapting scripts for all media, and has appeared in radio and TV dramas, including Coronation Street.

Debbie will be talking about writing plays at 1.00 pm, and will answer your questions. To find out more visit her website.

The morning’s workshops (10.00 am to lunch) will be led by local talents Malcolm (Tim) Havard (Planning Your Novel), Jan Edwards (Starting Your Story) and Jem Shaw (Avoiding Cliches Like the Plague).  Workshop places will be limited so contact us to reserve a place — or arrive early!

From 11.00 am in the Children’s Library, Misha Herwin will be telling tall tales of dragons. Not to be missed.

And if you have specific questions (or non-specific ones) about your writing, setting up a website, book design and publishing, etc, come along to the Writers’ Surgery. Someone from Renegades or Room In the Roof will be on hand.

There will be a chance to buy books from local writers and publishers. A day of fun and enlightenment for people who want to write.
